Major League Soccer has created a petition to raise support for its plan to build a soccer-specific stadium in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, a borough of New York City. Those who sign the petition will also receive updates on the campaign to build the stadium.
The petition’s URL, MLStoQueens.com, was registered by the league on Sept. 19th. Since then, the local news media has reported mixed reviews about the prospects of the stadium. Total Footblog has vocally supported not only the wisdom of building a stadium in New York City, but also why Flushing Meadows Corona Park is a suitable location.
If you are interested in signing the petition and supporting the stadium, you can do so here.
