In a suit filed in a Los Angeles court room, former Muppet and veteran entertainer Fozzie Bear alleged that the pulsating musical pelvis known simply as Shakira stole his legendary catch phrase “wocka wocka wocka” for her frighteningly popular World Cup song Waka Waka. According to the lawyers for Mr. Bear, the plaintiff is demanding $5.3 million and some vigorous cuddling.
“I can barely walk because all my stuffing has slide down into my legs, and my fur is starting to fall out,” complained Fozzie Bear, who will turn 73 later this year. “Why doesn’t that bitch come up with some original material, instead of milking the hard work of bears like me?”
When asked for a comment, a spokesperson for Shakira said, “wocka wocka hey hey, tough shit for Fozzie.”
